DO YOU have lockers?

No, we do not have lockers. Please use the cubbies and shelves to store your items during your workout.

DO YOU offer RENTAL GLOVES?

Rental gloves are for beginner classes ONLY. We clean and sanitze them after each use.

What do I need to bring?

A good attitude and a willingness to learn. Bring a towel, because you’ll burn calories and sweat. We sell bottled water, hand wraps, gloves, drinks and snacks on site. Rental gloves are for beginner classes ONLY. Wraps are mandatory.

Do you provide boxing gloves?

We do, indeed. Gloves are available to buy from the front desk for a very reasonable price, or you can bring your own. We also stock a full range of Julian Fury Fitness ® clothing and gear. Rental gloves are for beginner classes ONLY.

What are wraps and do I really need them?

Wraps serve to protect your wrists and hands when punching the bags. We have either slip-on gel wraps or traditional hand wraps for sale at the front desk. They both are machine-washable and can be used again and again and again. Rental gloves are for beginner classes ONLY.

What to expect for my First Time?

If you’re a first timer to Julian Fury Fitness®, you may have a few questions about our studio and our classes. Our unique boxing-based fitness is new to many, so we want to be as open and transparent as possible about what to expect. At Julian Fury Fitness, we offer more than just a boxing gym membership. Every body is different, so we make sure you can choose a plan that works best for you.

We encourage prospective members to visit the studio where they can get a feel for the atmosphere and meet the instructors who will be guiding them through their workouts. We also offer trial classes so that members can see if our approach is right for them before committing to an entire month or year of membership.

I've never boxed before. Will I be able to keep up?

Don’t worry! Our classes are set up so that everyone can participate, no matter how experienced they are. All of our classes are designed so that beginners can learn the basics and feel comfortable with the sport. Our instructors are well-versed in teaching newbies how to box safely and effectively.

Is there a beginner class?

No, because Julian Fury Fitness ® is suitable for absolute beginners and seasoned pros. We only ask that prior to your first class you come to the studio 30 minutes early

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing appropriate fitness attire such as athletic shorts/leggings, a comfortable shirt, and athletic shoes. Of course, we prefer you wear a cool Julian Fury Fitness ® t-shirt and show the world. 🙂

What do I need for class?

Gloves and hand wraps are required for all classes. If you have your own, bring them. If you don’t, we sell all the equipment you need at our Julian Fury Fitness ® clubs. Rental gloves are for beginner classes ONLY.

How early do I need to arrive?

We ask that you arrive at least 25-30 minutes before your first class so we can show you the ropes. We will give you a quick tour, help you wrap your hands, and teach you the basics. Rental gloves are for beginner classes ONLY.

Do you offer private lessons and personal training?

Yes, some of our studios offer personal training and other additional support! Our nationally certified trainers are experts in boxing training. You can choose a personal training plan that best fits your needs. Some members take private lessons to brush up on their technical skills and some to work through a comprehensive fitness plan.

What are the benefits of boxing?

At Julian Fury Fitness®, we believe that it is important for your health and wellness goals to include all of the essential components of fitness: strength, cardio, flexibility and balance. Boxing is an excellent way to achieve all of these goals in one workout! Boxing will improve your cardiovascular system by increasing your heart rate and improving your overall endurance. Boxing also increases muscular strength and endurance by working multiple muscle groups simultaneously. The combination of high intensity aerobic exercise with resistance training makes boxing an ideal workout for all ages and abilities
